Logline:

'A University Grad student goes on a redemptive journey to find a missing 6 year old boy.'

Synopsis:

Oracabessa Lee, a university grad student, is in the midst of a breakup when she sees a poster of a missing 6 year old boy, Tim Rinehart. Oracabessa becomes fixated on the missing boy and attempts to solve the mystery of his disappearance. Along the way, she encounters Tuco, a bottom feeder, who is thick in the midst of a human trafficking group. Oracabessa's life hangs in the balance, as inexplicably, she continues searching for the boy. We're along for the ride and discover her troubling childhood past on the island of Jamaica.

Born in Jamaica, West Indies, filmmaker Richard Nelson is based in Columbus, Ohio, United States.

Mr. Nelson is an award winning feature film Director. His most recent film is the award winning 'Oracabessa', a 35mm dramatic thriller, filmed in Ohio.

'Oracabessa' is winner of the Best Director award as well as Lead Actress and Rising star awards at the  London International Filmmaker Festival (World Cineama) in the United Kingdom. The film has also secured nominations in numerous other film festivals.

He is also an award nominated  screenwriter and film producer.

His prior film, 'The Endangered', which he wrote, produced, directed, was nominated for the Jury Award in feature film competition at the Hollywood Black Film Festival.

Along with the features, 'Oracabessa' and 'The Endangered', he has written, directed and produced several projects including the Ethiopian Amharic language film, 'Tsion', and various other short films including 'Bright Day', 'The Guild of Strangers' and 'Vexed'.

His screenplay, 'The Viceroy', is a nominated semi-finalist at the Hollywood Black Film Festival (Storyteller competition).
